Toshiba has introduced three new Satellite laptops for the early birds already gearing up for school. “For fashionistas,” Toshiba says, there’s the ultralight Satellite T2 7200 series, which measures 1 inch thick, weighs just 3.3. pounds and offers a choice of Intel or Advanced Micro Devices processors. Multitaskers may opt for the L600 Series, which comes in four size options, all with beefy processors, high-definition displays and a Media Controller application for managing data, photo, music and video files. For those saving for textbooks, the C600 Series starts at a budget-friendly $450 and includes a 14- or 15.6-inch TruBrite widescreen display, Intel or AMD processors and DDR3 RAM. Rounding out the Toshiba announcement is the Dynadock V, a space-saving universal USB docking station that minimizes wires and clutter on a desk. If only it could do the same for the rest of a dorm room.
